As I'm pretty sure I mentioned, the bear carries a very large bubble of the Dreamlands wherever it goes, and investigators possessions transform as they would if they were passing into the Dreamlands. Electrical technology you'd fail the Dreamlands standards for existance, and your chainsaw would probably turn into a non-powered wood saw. The large ground vehicle would likely turn into a large cart or wagon, and without horses to pull it, it would roll to a stop pretty quickly in the unpaved and overgrown woods. Possibly you could wrap a long copper wire around Teddy's toe and hold up the other end during a thunderstorm. It would also be very funny to see someone try to take teddy out with a regular unpowered saw. Marco ------------------------------ Date: 7 Jun 1999 08:35:50 BST From: "Jacob Busby Bsc." Using Delta Green-friendly contacts in the area, and without checking with the local cell's personnel, we organized and conducted OPERATIONS CLEARINGHOUSE and GOBBLEDYGOOK. Specific details concerning the events of the operations must remain CLASSIFIED for the time being, but the overall results appear to have worked. OP CLEARINGHOUSE was engaged with the purpose of "independently" recruiting various servers by remote and rerouting as many mail messages as possible to the server at the Berkeley location that was driving the SETI program; OP GOBBLEDYGOOK then infiltrated under the guise of e-mail and connected to a workstation we had "confiscated" on location and allowed us to access the server as an administrator. We were able to begin uploading a specialty virus program to the Berkeley server when we discovered through radio monitoring that a "significant hostile force" was moving in towards the building in which we were conducting OP GOBBLEDYGOOK. At that point I made the call to abort the Operation and exfiltrate from the area. We were able to elude pursuit and reconvene at a safe house in the area. PLEASE BE ADVISED. The web site dealing with the targeted project has not indicated that they are ceasing operations! Your data and servers may still be exposed through your existing Internet connections. Any Delta Green cell leaders with the capability for extended field operations should coordinate their efforts in attempting to investigate this further. Those cells who are planning to conduct operations at or near the Berkeley area should exercise caution; unconfirmed reports indicate that the responding "force" in question was composed of unidentifiable military personnel that had no patches, markings, or insignias indicating Branch, unit, or rank. -Nicholas ===============END TRANSMISSION ========= ___________________________________________________________________ You don't need to buy Internet access to use free Internet e-mail. Mr. Mythos' top three candidates would be the moonbeasts, the cult of Shub-Niggurath that makes use of the moon- lens, and Oorn (a minor Great Old One mentioned in Lumley's "Mad Moon of Dreams" who lives on that orb). However, the moonbeasts may not even exist in this reality, and Oorn isn't known to have any cult this side of the wall of sleep. Ancient pagan allegories will quickly destroy suspension of disbelief in the Conspiracy Horror genre - not to say they can't be effective when used sparingly. Well, it seems that during my forced absence my email account I'd been saving the chapters in died a horrible death (note the successful ressurection however - Herbert West, Dreamlands and the dreaming CMAI, ya gotta love it). Anyway, whomsoever has chapters, go ahead and email it to me. I don't mind multiple copies, *really* I don't. I was wondering... is there any published material on those Uranians that hitched a ride with our British pals the Shan. I've got some interesting ideas that I *may* post, but I don't want needless and confusing conflicts (no *really* I swear). I wonder if the Partnership would care to enlighten us about Uranus and Countdown. The Man in Black is : wondering... why are you looking at my butt? It's a pretty sophisticated character generator with a really nice gui and output. It's got COC 3rd / 5th ed and 5.5 rulesets plus extras and a Delta Green set. I've just started looking at it but its quite slick.... Chris who's way too into the details.... _________________________________________________________ Do You Yahoo!? Intel Agencies & Sample Characters' Background Dear Adam, What was the outcome of this leter, did you get any response from other contributors and Pagan? I'm game if it's all legal. That equates to at least 5 Characters that could be influential to a Candian setting. If interested and if legal did you have any format or requirements in mind for such a contribution?
