NecronomiCon Intel Report: Part One

A-Cell was recently at NecronomiCon Providence. NecronomiCon is a bi-annual convention dedicated to all things H.P. Lovecraft and weird fiction and horror. In other words, right up our alley.

Agent Glancy runs a scenario

Adam Scott Glancy ran a game on Thursday night for our NecronomiCon volunteer GMs, Kevin, Frank, and Tim, and Shane Ivey. Like many Glancy games, the 4 hour scenario ran for 5.5 hrs with the last half hour being explanation of what would have happened if players had continued to play past the current time of 1:30am. This game was recorded with audio and video and will be disseminated via podcast and YouTube in the near future.

Everyone survived BLACKSAT?!

Speaking of Delta Green games, this table full of smiling, possibly insane, new agents all survived BLACKSAT scenario GM’d by Tim at NecronomiCon. Hopefully they won’t become future missions for other agents.

The hotel where the Delta Green games were held was mysterious and unsettling.

The gaming sessions were held in the old Biltmore Hotel, which is now called The Graduate. Build in the 1920s, the lobby exudes a very Lynchian / Kubrick vibe or Lynchian / Anderson vibe depending upon your taste. I definitely wouldn’t let myself be lured into any of the rooms, if I were you.

Ignore the twins that sometimes appear at the end of the hallway near the elevators.
Agents can meet their Handlers in many semi-secluded spots in the lobby.

In addition to Delta Green games, there were several panel discussions with interesting guests, but that is for another post. Stay tuned for NecronomiCon Intel Report: Part Two.
