NecronomiCon Intel Report: Part Two

You can read about Part One of this Intel Report here.

A-Cell was unhappy that NecronomiCon Providence did not include ANY programming at all dedicated to Robert W. Chambers, and since Arc Dream Publishing has such an outstandingly well annotated edition of Chambers’ The King in Yellow, we HAD to rectify this error. And so with much wrangling and hand-shaking behind the scenes, on Saturday night we were able to conduct The King in Yellow: Origins, Influences & Lineage.

Approximately 100 people came out to listen to Shane Ivey moderate a panel consisting of Kenneth Hite, Silvia Moreno-Garcia, Nicole Cushing, and Jim Lowder. This panel was recorded for future dissemination via podcast and YouTube.

Way too early on Sunday morning, A-Cell conducted A Taste of Ashes: Delta Green with panelists Daniel Harms, Adam Scott Glancy, Kenneth Hite, and Shane Ivey.

With an audience of about 60 people, our Delta Green panelists talked about a wide range of things including projects that got away, Scott carrying a bottle of bourbon around with him at every convention, and answered audience question. This panel was recorded for future dissemination via podcast.

Also on Sunday, Shane Ivey participated in How to Game the Weird, a discussion of the ins and outs of designing and running a weird horror scenario. Panelists included Kenneth Hite, Daniel Harms, Fiona Maeve-Geist, Badger McInnes, and the one and only Sandy Peterson. This panel was recorded for future dissemination via podcast.

Last, but certainly not least, no discussion of NecronomiCon would be complete without mentioning Murphy’s Pub. It was the most perfect place to grab a meal and a pint or dram of Lagavulin. We plan to eat all our meals there when NecronomiCon commences again in 2021.
